Thai Nguyen has a convenient transportation system connecting with localities and the international border gate. In terms of the airway system, it is 50km and takes about 45 minutes from Noi Bai International Airport to Thai Nguyen City; it takes about 30 minutes from the Southern development area, Phu Binh District, Pho Yen Town and Song Cong City to the Airport. |
Thai Nguyen has a convenient road system with the 62km-long new National Highway 3 connecting Ha Noi Capital and Thai Nguyen Province; National Highway 37 connecting Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen and Tuyen Quang Provinces; National Highway 1B connecting Thai Nguyen and Lang Son Provinces; Ring Road 5 of Ha Noi Capital connecting with provinces in the region of Thai Nguyen – Bac Giang – Tuyen Quang – Vinh Phuc. The railway system connects the provinces and cities of Thai Nguyen, Ha Noi, Hai Phong, Lao Cai, Lang Son and the North - South railway. In terms of the waterway system, there is Da Phuc port connecting provinces of the Red River Delta and Hai Phong Port. The link connects the provinces of Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang and Vinh Phuc.

Currently, Thai Nguyen Province has a full range of major network carriers, such as Viettel, Vinaphone, Mobifone, etc. which fully meet the needs of communication and internet connection with large capacity, ensuring smooth operation for investors. The province has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Military-run Industry and Telecoms Group (Viettel) with the goal of building e-government, towards digital government and smart cities for Thai Nguyen Province in the 2021-2025 period. The province has established an intelligent operating center; besides, the C-Thai Nguyen application helps connect people and businesses with the provincial government.
Thai Nguyen Power Company (PC Thai Nguyen) is the unit that manages and operates the power grid and sells electricity in Thai Nguyen Province. Almost all villages and hamlets in remote areas of the province have access to electricity (the percentage of villages and hamlets with electricity reaching 99.95 %).
