​Favourable natural resources

Nui Coc Lake has 25km2 of water surface encompassing hundreds of large and small islands and many half-flooded areas connected with the buffer Tam Dao National Park, creating great potentials for world-class ecotourism and resort investment.
 Thai Nguyen has rich mineral resources such as coal with a reserve of about 90 million tonnes ( the second largest in Vietnam, after Quang Ninh coal mine), iron ore with a reserve of more than 50 million tonnes, and vonfram reserve of about 21 million tonnes. These are the advantages that investors can explore in deep processing of minerals and production of construction materials.

Tam Dao National Park covers an area of 34,995 ha, the eastern part of which is located in Thai Nguyen province with an area of about 5,000 hectares. That its potential of combining  tourism with wellness services is the highlight that brings visitors interesting experiences.

The wartime safe area of Viet Bac, known as ATK, a special national monument, where valuable documents on the activities of President Ho Chi Minh and the Vietnam’s Communist Party Central Committee and Government during the nine years of resistance against French colonialism has been kept, remains an attractive destination for travellers who  want to learn about history.
In adddition, there are numerous architectural and pagoda and temple relics across the province like  Museum of Vietnamese Ethnic Minorities, the relics of King Ly Nam De, Duom Temple, Hang Pagoda, Phu Lien Pagoda, Xuong Rong Temple, and the National Historic Relics of 915 Voluntary Youth Company.
