Thai Nguyen has a convenient transportation system connecting with localities,  one international border gate and Hai Phong port ( 200 km away to each). In terms of air travel, it is 50 km from Noi Bai International Airport and takes about 45 minutes. In terms of the road system, traveler  can take the 62km – long national highway No 3 that connects Hanoi - Thai Nguyen in one hour; National road 37 connects Bac Giang - Thai Nguyen - Tuyen Quang; National road 1B connects Thai Nguyen - Lang Son; Ring Road 5 of Ha Noi capital is being invested to connect National road 37 - National Highway 3 - Hanoi Highway Lao Cai. In terms of railway one, the railway system was built to connect Thai Nguyen - Hanoi - Hai Phong - Lao Cai - Lang Son and North - South railway. The river system has the Da Phuc port that helps connect with the Red River Delta.
